Popular Amsterdam summer festivals: which one to choose?
The city annually hosts a huge number of various festivals, and many of these events are of international level. The majority of festivals are held in summer on the best venues of the city.

Holland Festival. The Holland Festival is the most important and major festival in the Netherlands. This festival is a mix of all kinds of performing arts, theater and musical theatre productions, dance, opera and music, fine arts, literature and architecture.
Open Garden Days. Open Garden Days is arranged by Museum Van Loon. This is a beautiful tradition: the majestic canal houses open their secret gardens for three days.
Amsterdam Roots Festival. Lovers of all kinds of ethnic music will be able to enjoy performances by both familiar and unknown groups for four days. In addition to music, the festival’s founders offer guests various workshops and sales of original products called Roots Bazaar.
Jazz at the Plantage. The Hermitage together with Joods Cultureel Kwartier organizes weekly jazz concerts. Young jazz musicians from the Amsterdam Conservatory will, surely, provide you with a lot of pleasure.
Amsterdam Gay Pride. Every year the Amsterdam Gay Pride ends with Canal Parade. 80 boats participate in the parade. Quite unusual vessels are also among them.
Bacchus Wine Festival. Winemakers from Amsterdam and the surrounding areas come to this festival. In addition to wine, guests will be pleased with the eclectic selection of live music. Of course, there will be workshops and lectures, conducted by professional sommeliers.
Craft beer festival. This mini-festival is held in the Slotervaart district. Here you can try Dutch craft beer, made in small breweries. Brewers come here from all over the country.
