If your aim is tanning and swimming on the shores of the Mediterranean Sea, including the Balearics, it is the best to choose the period from May to September; in the Canary Islands – from April to September; on the northern coast of the country – from June to August. However, both May and October are perfect for active recreation, and on the Canaries it is possible to swim all year round.

If you want to visit to historical monuments of Spain, the periods from April to June and from September to October are the most suitable. Although, quite comfortable weather reigns in many historical regions in winter. The period from December to February is optimal for a ski holiday.
